Well it’s that time of the year again and I thought I’d do another year-end mashup. Here are bits of the Top 25 hits of the year, according to Billboard Magazine, arranged into a four and a half minute song. This is a follow-up to last year’s mashup of the Top 25 hits of 2007.
This year in the charts, we’ve gone all soft. The songs are sexy and defiant, less macho than in previous years. Accordingly, I’ve selected Coldplay as the instrumental track, giving the whole year a sort of symphonic feel. This edit is called “Viva La Pop”, and I hope to post more edits soon.

When Viva la Vida came out I was like this is the best song Ever. Then when I heard this mash up I knew that not a thing could ever beat this song,… well in till u make a 2009 mash up

YOU ARE AMAZING. The placement of songs in the chord progression is perfect, you are a true musician, and the mix of dissonance and assonance is PHENOMENAL. I applaud you in all you’ve accomplished and wish you the greatest luck in your endeavors. I am an opera major and am not a fan of most of today’s songs, but you’ve remastered them into such a heigher level. KUDOS.

Hey DJ(if I can call you DJ), I want to give you INCREDIBLE kudos/props/everything else for this song. There’s a lot of people in today’s world that say being a DJ does not mean you are a musician and this song, hell ALL your songs, prove them dead wrong and then stomp all over their bodies. You have taken a lot of awesome songs(and a few annoying ones, I admit) and mixed them together into pure musical perfection. I am looking forward to all of your future mashups, especially United State of Pop 2009, so I can see what art you’ve given to the world this time.
