- Rihanna - Disturbia
- Kardinal Offishall Feat. Akon - Dangerous
- Ne-Yo - Closer
- Estelle Feat Kanye West - American Boy
- Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up
- Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love
- Danity Kane - Damaged
- Madonna , Timbaland & Justin Timberlake - 4 minutes
- Lupe Fiasco Feat. Matthew Santos - Superstar
- Britney Spears - Gimme More
- Flo-Rida feat. T-Pain - Low
I edited this video for the mashup as well. View it in full screen HERE.
Leona Lewis talks about love in terms of flesh wounds, Akon sings of girls being dangerous, Danity Kane complains of being damaged, Ne-Yo is unable to control himself, Rihanna is going crazy.
Meanwhile a burning hunger for more cries out: The Pussycat Dolls, Britney, and Lupe Fiasco all desire fame, attention, recognition, and they encourage the listener to feel the same way. All this, mixed in with Madonna’s pre-apocalyptic pop song plus Estelle and Kanye’s transatlantic lovefest, starts to paint a picture of where our culture is today, overwhelmed by our own raging appetites, even as we run out of what we need.
And you can dance to it!

And to top it off, you work your magic with the video as well. No wonder there is such a massive gap between your productions. Thanks and keep it up!!!

This is brilliant! Came to your blog after being linked to the 2008 mashup, and all your other stuff is just as good. This one especially is incredibly catchy, and I love the thought you’ve put into it, the psychology behind all these songs!

Hey, you should make a megamix/mash-up of Maroon 5 hits, they’re the best! I recommend mixing : This Love -> She Will be loved -> Makes Me Wonder -> Won’t Go Home Without You -> Goodnight Goodnight -> Little of Your Time (Finale)
btw, your works are great.. especially the United State of Pop 2008 and 2007..

Thanks A LOT Dj Earworm for making this mashup! Without you, I wouldn’t know what real good music sounds like! But you have blended music ever the best I’ve ever heard! And believe me, I’ve been searching for good remixes for quite a while. I’ve even tried words like Mega-Mashup and have never found anything like this! The closest best thing I’ve found close to your’s is probably by Ryson Remixes called So What, It’s Alright! There are only three words that can describe your remixes: AMAZING INTERESTING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May 9th, 2010 at 3:12 am
This is an amazing mix–I didn’t actually read your description until way after I’d heard it, and started sorting through the darker themes. I thought it was supposed to be some kind of post-Colonial apocalyptic love song (guess I was somewhat right). I have one tiny critique, though, which has more to do with your written intro–Lupe Fiasco is definitely not endorsing the pursuit of fame in “SuperStar.” Its a pretty heavy-handed critique of the American obsession with recognition, I think, and maybe a little more aligned with your intended mix here than the intro suggests. Anyway. Other than that–this is probably as close to a perfect commentary on modern America as can be found. Thank you!
